Not any. The video needs captions — auto-generated or uploaded by the author — because that is where the content is extracted from. Educational videos, lessons, tutorials and talks almost always have them. A mostly visual video with little narration yields few questions even with captions.

What if the video has no captions?

Describe the main content in the conversation and ask for questions from your description. The result depends on how good your summary is, but for a lesson you gave yourself that is usually quick.

How long does it take to generate the quiz?

Seconds to a few minutes, depending on the length of the video. What dominates the total is not generation but your review of the answer key, which is mandatory.

Can I customise the generated questions?

You can. Ask for specific types, focus on a section, adjust difficulty or swap individual questions through the conversation. Adjusting happens inside the same conversation, with no charge per message; very long conversations use extra credits. And the final result is still editable in Google Forms.

Does the AI understand what is on screen?

No. What is read is the caption, that is, what was said. If an essential figure only appears written on a slide and is never spoken aloud, it will not make it into the questions. In that case, add it in the conversation.

Do I have to check the questions?

Yes, always the answer key. Auto-generated captions frequently mangle proper names, numbers and technical terms, and an error in the caption becomes an error in the question. With video this is the most important review of all the input types.

Does it work with a video in another language?

It works when captions exist in that language. You can ask for the test in whichever language you prefer, regardless of the video's language.
